Filter cabinets for HEPA filters
HEPA Filter Cabinets is a flexible and compact filter cabinet series for HEPA full and half size modules. These are particularly suitable for the pharmaceutical and food industries.

- Airflow volume: Recommended airflow on full module filter (610 x 610 x 292 mm) is 3,400 – 5,000 m3 / h.
- Door mounted on either the right or left side depending on the flow direction.

TEKNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
- The filter cabinet is made of stainless steel (304L), (corrosion class C4).
- The filter cabinet is fully welded using gas arc welding. Then the cabinet is deacidified and killed (deoxidized).
- The cabinet can withstand an overpressure of 400 mbar and a temperature of up to 250 °C.
- The service door is securely hinged and tools must be used to open and close it.
- The food-approved gasket (1935/2004) on the inside of the service door ensures superior sealing.
- When the service door is closed, the newly developed closing device ensures proper secur-ing of the filter. The service door cannot be closed unless the HEPA filter is correctly fitted.
- As standard, angle irons are welded to the bottom of the filter cabinet so that it can be at-tached to a floor or stand.

We offer a wide selection of joints for support cages, so that you can choose the right solution for the task
All joints are tested during manufacture to ensure that they meet specifications and that the cage hangs correctly after assembly.
Configaration
- Support cages are available in all common designs and in materials adapted to the filters being used with them.

Double-Ring Joint
The double-ring joint is the most common method for support cages.
Cages are easy to assemble and can often be assembled without the use of tools.
Suitable for short support cages.
Sliderscope Joint
This design is more stable, as the joint grips two points on the cage.
Requires a tool for assembly and disassembly.
Can be used on support cages with up to 16 longitudinal stringers.
Baylock Joint
The patented Baylock joint has been developed especially for cages with heavy loads and many longitudinal stringers.
This joint is very durable, but is also simple to assemble and disassemble.
Works especially well with long support cages, where it is important that the cage hangs completely straight after installation.
Collar Joint
Functions as a double-ring joint; however, the joint is “hidden” in the extra collar.
The collar reduces the risk of the joint wearing unnecessarily on the filter bag.
Venturi
An integrated venturi provides more efficient use of air from the purification system.
The venturi increases both air velocity and static overpressure in the filter bag during cleaning.
Especially suitable for cages longer than 2 meters.

Applications
- With filter cartridges, a large filter surface can be obtained in a limited space. Therefore, there may be advantages to using filter cartridges in applications with large air volumes, but a limited amount of dust.
- The pleated surface means that the dust cake is not as easily removed as on a filter bag, especially when the dust cake is sticky. Therefore, it’s essential to choose the right solution for your filtering tasks.

Filter bags are often an important part of a
process. The filter may be essential in protecting the environment or in
collection of a product. Thus, the filter’s specific function is decisive for
an efficient process.
At Safematic, filter bags are manufactured
according to the process conditions where the bags will be used.
Requirements on emissions, temperature
conditions, dust load and dust composition are just some of the factors that
determine the materials used to produce a filter bag.
Filter materials are available in a wide
variety. The materials table at the bottom of this page describes the various
main material groups. Temperature is the first parameter to be considered when
selecting material. Other factors, such as the content of gases and
pH value, help identify the right material for the task.
Once the base material is selected, the surface
must be selected. Emission limits and the nature of the dust to be filtered
play an important role here. Supplier experience is an important part of
choosing the right solution. With Safematic, selection always takes place as a

Filter bags for the food and pharmaceutical industries
Filter bags for food production must be made of materials that comply with Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 of 27 October 2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
Similarly, during the manufacture of filter bags for food production, work must be carried out in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 2023/2006 of 22 December 2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended for contact with food.

Safematic has extensive experience in supplying filter bags for food production. Food safety is very important, and therefore Safematic has worked systematically to ensure quality from the start.
Food safety primarily involves prevention of the transfer of chemical substances from the filter media to food. Therefore, all materials used for food production must undergo a migration test. Upon delivery to the buyer, a document is including to certify that the filter-bag material complies with the requirements of EN 1935/2004.
Food production filter bags must be manufactured so that fibres or other materials cannot spread from the filter bags to the food product. Finally, filter bags and materials must be traceable.
